The Balance of Power

The valley is no free-for-all. Every kindred holds a stance toward every other, and it is worth knowing before you draw a blade:

  • Oom'Gar & Kun'Gar — your people and the horse-folk coexist: kin and trade-partners under the empires' shadow.
  • Tul'Gar — the river-folk keep to themselves, neither kin nor enemy, and quick to vanish into the reeds.
  • Wuf'Gar — the wolf-people raid everyone. No truce holds.
  • Throg'Gar & Hiss'Gar — the hominid kindreds guard their caves and waters and hunt the warm-blooded; older still, they are each other's most ancient enemy.
  • Arken & Teshari — rival empires, hostile where they meet, and both prey upon the stone-age tribes.

And a warning: spill the blood of your own tribe and, for a moment, every faction reads you as an enemy. Kinslaying does not go unanswered.
